A freelance illustrator and cartoonist

Saffron Swire is a London-based journalist, editor and illustrator. She is a weekly cartoonist for The Observer but has also been published in The Economist, Tortoise and The New Statesman.

 

She began posting satirical doodles on Instagram during her journalism master’s in 2019 – and hasn’t stopped since. Her work now spans two general elections, a global pandemic, and caricatures of everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow and Boris Johnson to an orange buffoon whose name rhymes with Tonald Drump.
